Professional Makeup Project
Emma Freeman
Creative/Beauty Makeup Research
For this project my aim was to explore as many techniques learned so far as a makeup artist. I feel the none-specified named award would be more suited for me, as I would like to work in both areas of fashion and prosthetics. I wanted to touch up on my skills of beauty and fashion makeup. Lisa Eldridge has a collection of tutorials on her website with very useful tips and techniques for applications and also on products and tools. I have watched and taken notes on some of her tutorials to help me prepare for my when I do fashion based makeups.

Look One:
-
Beauty shoot based on autumn winter trends
-
Play on no makeup look
-
Luminous skin
-
Worked thin alternating between foundation and luminizers
-
Contoured
-
Eyes-cool town pinky brown in the corner of the eye and warmer golden shade all over the lid
-
Slightly deeper colour on near the lash line
-
Eye lash curled
-
Polished brows applied with fine strokes
-
Continued highlighting and contouring
-
Lip balm and liner
-
Gloss on the top of cheeks and brow bone
-
On set worked tweaking the brows and working with the levels of shine on the skin
Look Two:
-
The key was to create a dense eyelid
-
Brushed Mac black ground. On eye lid and low lash line, building the colour from the lash line and working outward
-
Used a deep teal colour in the centre of the eyes
-
Intense emerald green in the corner
-
Bright flash of electric blue on the outer corner
-
Cherry/purples ad silvers underneath
-
Went back to repeatedly blend the colours
-
Even thought the colours on top were bright the black underneath helped to retain a dark smokey mood
-
Black gel eyeliner is used along the lash line and inner rim to create the illusion of thicker lashes
-
Lots of mascara added
-
Light dusting of powder and blush
-
Pale down the lips so the eyes were the focal point
-
Played with the look more on set by adding more blue

Look Three
-
Flawless immaculate skin-pure clean look
-
Lots of pinpoint concealing for polish skin
-
For a light open looking eye, apply pale cream shadow up to the brows
-
Add depth with a grey shadow which brought out the shape of her eyes
-
Polished and perfected eyebrow
Look Four
-
Added a dramatic dark lip, working with contrasting textures
-
Dark red wine shade
-
Following the natural shape
-
Dark berry lip liner worked over the lips to increase the intensity and strength
-
Black liner worked into the edges to add drama. Blended into the existing reds and plums
-
Finished with a bright cherry red in the centre of the lip
Look Five
-
Bold brow
-
Strong graphic brows look great when the rest of the makeup is played down
-
Suqqu brow pens
-
Removed the previous eye makeup and added a gleaming bronzed cream shadow
-
Little sculpting added
-
Pale lip
-
Strong brows can look masculine so lots of mascara added to keep the look looking feminine
Look Six
-
Strong liner Mac fluid line blacktrack
-
Start by working the liner into the roots of the lashes
-
Map out the shape on one eye, then take a step back and mark out the shape on the other eye for symmetry
-
A light sweep of liner on the lower line mirrored the under line and gave a wide eyed look
-
Half set of lashes to help give an elongated look the eye
