Makeup techniques :
-
re shape the face
-
highlight and contour
-
create facial hair
-
consider male features/structure
-
key characteristics

It is imporant to compare the differences between a woman's shape of face and a mans. Here is Dr Stephen Marquardts male variant of the archetypal mask.
-
prominent supra-orbital brow ridges, resulting in deep set appearing eyes
-
flatter and narrower eyebrows
-
slightly narrower eyes
-
eyes less "wide open"
-
slightly larger nose
-
thinner lips
-
squared/angled jaw
with these points in mind, I started my own dragking makeup...
I applid thick cream makeup to contour my face, I found it difficult to blend these as I began over blending them the colours mixed too much. I created an angular jaw for myself, and tried to make my nose appear larger. I thickened and darkened my eyebrows and used a stipple sponge to stipple on facial hair in black. I ran wet gel to comb my hair back to look extra masculine!
