The representation of the criminal body has evolved alongside scientific and technological advances. Despite these developments visual representation has remained an important means through which the criminal subject is understood and defined

This is a visual representation of the identification of a criminal that is under scrutiny for a rape-murder case.  The criminal is studied and recorded for police records. Michel Foucault uses the term “micro-physics of power” as a construction of identity. This is how I could develop my character by using research to construct my characters own identity

The images above show a dramatic change in the journey of the soldiers face. During their time in afgan their faces look very washed out with green tones. Their faces are more gaunt with more chisled features around the jaw and cheek bones. The comparison of the first photo and the last photo is a sense of innocence, the last photo tells us there is a a lot this soldier has been through.

The marks on the face reveals the character and their story.
